Sooraj began his education in India, where he completed his Bachelor's and Master's Degrees. He later joined Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad as a project assistant and after that as a project intern at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Hyderabad.
In 2024, Sooraj decided to further his studies by joining the group of Giuseppe Sansone at the University of Freiburg for his Doctoral studies.
