Simon hat nach sein Bachelor in Physik an der Universität Freiburg absolviert, wobei er sich dafür entscheiden hat, seine Bachelorarbeit in der Gruppe von Prof. Giuseppe Sansone zu machen. Unter dem Thema "Stark-Fed Photoionisation von Edelgasatomen" arbeitete er zusammen mit Samuel Keller dabei an dem Aufbau eines Reaktionsmikroskopes. Dabei war er unter anderem für den Aufbau zweier Helmholzspulen verantwortlich, wessen Geometrie von der herkömmlichen Kreisförmigen Form, abweicht. Im Oktober 2024 begann er nach daraufhin seine Masterarbeit in selbiger Gruppe. Das Ziel der Masterarbeit ist es, ein gepulstes Ventil anstelle des kontinuierlichen Ventils für den "velocity map imaging"  Aufbau zu testen und einzubauen.


Simon did his Bachelor in physics at the university of Freiburg, where he decided to do his Bachelor thesis in the Group of Prof. Giuseppe Sansone. With the topic of "Strong-field photoionization of noble gas atoms" he worked together with Samuel Kellerer on the built up of a reaction microscope. Here, one of his tasks was to implement the two Helmholz coils for the magnetic field, wheres their geometry differs from the common round coil shape. In october of 2024 he began his Master thesis in the same group, where the goal is to test and implement a pulsed nozzle instead of the continous one for the velocity map imaging setup.
